Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Snead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elmo Salty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salty has chosen Gonna Fly Now as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Elmo Salty was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Salty. Snead does a little dance to reset his feet.
Snead takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Sam Snead has been cut.

Snead appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

The fighters circle momentarily. Snead darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Snead wants to sweep here but Salty controlling him for the moment.

Snead throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Salty throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Snead on the side of the head.

Salty stands and steps away. Snead gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Salty moves forwards but Snead connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Salty throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Snead is looking to counter the offense by Salty and move into the clinch.
Snead jabs Salty right on the nose. Salty blinks but takes it well.
Snead on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Salty. Salty obviously looking to wear him down.

It looked like Snead wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Salty takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Sam Snead's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Salty controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Oh Snead is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Salty stands and steps away. Snead gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Snead bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Salty comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Snead falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Snead was out before he hit the floor!
