The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams throws a head kick that Emelianenko semi-blocks.
It looks like Gattsu Emelianenko has been cut.
Adams connects with a good right hand that stumbles Emelianenko. Emelianenko circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Adams throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
An attempted straight right counter from Emelianenko misses the target.
Adams throws a leg kick that misses.
Emelianenko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've been told by Emelianenko's head coaches at Samran Muay Thai that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Emelianenko pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Good exchange - Adams coming out on top.
Emelianenko scores with a hook to the body. Adams takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Adams is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Emelianenko.
Emelianenko just misses with a punch to the body.
Adams looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Adams displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Emelianenko throws out the jab.

Nice defenses there by Adams.
Adams flicks out a counter leg kick but Emelianenko steps away.
Nice uppercut lands for Emelianenko. That snapped Adams's head back.
Emelianenko changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Emelianenko fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Adams swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Emelianenko counters with a straight right hand.
Adams lands with a kick to the temple. Emelianenko shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Adams connects with a single shot there.
Emelianenko misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Adams to counter with a crisp jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Emelianenko throws out a loose jab but Adams uses good head movement to avoid it.
Adams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Emelianenko moves away.
A head kick by Adams misses
and Emelianenko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Emelianenko dips to his left and cracks Adams with an uppercut!
Adams circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Emelianenko. Adams falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Emelianenko!
