Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Trudel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Cocoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trudel's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Cadillac Pimpin. The key to victory for Fred Trudel has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Trudel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Cocoa!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trudel is looking to clinch but Cocoa is avoiding it.
Trudel lands a lovely overhand right.
Trudel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cocoa was well out of range. Poor timing from Trudel.
Cocoa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Trudel to the mat! Trudel manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trudel wants to get back to his feet but Cocoa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cocoa postures up in Trudel's guard and throws a big left but Trudel blocks it.
Cocoa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Trudel is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cocoa, into his guard.

Cocoa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trudel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Trudel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cocoa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Cocoa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cocoa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trudel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cocoa is looking for a triangle but Trudel pushes his legs off easily.
Trudel wants to pass the guard but Cocoa is keeping the position.

Trudel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cocoa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Trudel avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Cocoa has his foot on Trudel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Trudel works his way back into a safe position though.

Cocoa is trying to maintain the position but Trudel is very close to passing his half guard.
Trudel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cocoa keeps working.

Cocoa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Trudel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Trudel's back!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cocoa looking to break Trudel's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Trudel remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Cocoa will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Trudel breaks Cocoa's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Trudel wants to get up but he can't break Cocoa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trudel passes Cocoa's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Cocoa is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Trudel pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Cocoa dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Trudel misses with a few strikes there.
Trudel tries to bum rush Cocoa with a series of wild strikes but Cocoa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Trudel tries to close the distance and clinch but Cocoa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cocoa is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Trudel is in real trouble.

Cocoa is looking for the choke from the back position but Trudel is controlling his hands well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cocoa has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Trudel is in real trouble here. Cocoa gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Trudel is tapping out! Cocoa wins by rear naked choke!
