Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigory Pechorin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Graves comes into the arena with London Calling blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Graves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Grigory Pechorin! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Graves shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Graves is looking for a kimura but Pechorin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Graves to get the leverage. Pechorin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pechorin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Graves pulls his head out easily. Pechorin tries to get to full guard but Graves has control of the leg. Pechorin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Pechorin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pechorin can't keep his opponent in guard - Graves advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Pechorin is trying to maintain the position but Graves is very close to passing his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Graves tries to pass to full mount but Pechorin defends it. Graves is looking for a kimura here.

Pechorin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Graves wants to work for an arm triangle but Pechorin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pechorin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pechorin wants to sweep but no luck. Graves passes easily into side control. Nice work. Pechorin is trying to improve his position. Graves thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pechorin is looking for a sweep. Graves wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pechorin, who protects the arm well. Graves is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pechorin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pechorin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Graves wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Graves working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Graves looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Graves wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pechorin, who protects the arm well.

Graves is working for a kimura but Pechorin is defending it quite comfortably.

Alex Graves dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Graves misses with a takedown attempt and Pechorin counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pechorin looks to land a combination. Graves sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. We've been told by Graves's head coaches at FIERCE that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Graves closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Graves tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pechorin's legs. Alex Graves overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pechorin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Graves's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Pechorin wants to improve his position but Graves is controlling well.
Graves is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pechorin is just riding it out for now. Graves eventually gives up the hold. Pechorin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Graves seems to be looking for submissions.

Graves stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pechorin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Graves drops back looking for a leg! Pechorin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pechorin manages to kick Graves off! Graves jumps back into Pechorin's guard. Graves postures up.

Graves drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pechorin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pechorin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pechorin!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pechorin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Graves! Pechorin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Graves is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pechorin can do to turn this around? Graves working to try and regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Graves is working hard here to advance position. Pechorin trying to control but Graves is having none of it. Graves is controlling an arm, preventing Pechorin from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Pechorin lands a heavy elbow. Pechorin pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Pechorin thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Pechorin tries to control but Graves wriggling away. Pechorin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Graves is surviving well by controlling Pechorin's body position as best he can. Pechorin looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Pechorin scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Graves?
Graves is rocked! Pechorin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Oh Graves is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Pechorin works his way to his opponent's back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pechorin working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Graves is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Pechorin has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Graves taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Grigory Pechorin! Alex Graves was interviewed post fight and said 'This isn't over. That was luck and we will be back to breaking arms and spirits very soon!'.
