Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Viorel Furnica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bradley Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bradley Martin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Viorel Furnica's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Furnica gets the takedown into side control.
Furnica slows the pace down.
Furnica decides to stand up, so the ref orders Martin to his feet.
Martin lands with a right hand.
Furnica manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Martin on his heels. He'll look to pass Martin's guard now, I'm sure.
Furnica gets to his feet - Martin follows without any prompting.
Martin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Furnica scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martin is looking to reverse the position.
Furnica stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Martin misses the shot to the body.
Martin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Furnica fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Martin sprawls well initially but Furnica persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Martin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martin has hold of Furnica's hands but Furnica slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ground and pound from Furnica.
Furnica is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Furnica tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Furnica looking to finish Martin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Martin!
Martin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Furnica sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Furnica controlling the pace for now.
Martin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Furnica. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Martin is looking to improve his position but Furnica isn't that keen on the idea.
Furnica tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Furnica looking to secure an arm triangle but Martin defends it well.

Furnica seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Martin for as long as he can get away with.
Furnica continues to stall.
Furnica has control of Martin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Martin regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Furnica throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martin's waist but Martin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Furnica off to one side.
Martin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Furnica sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Martin somewhat.
Martin misses with a series of wild punches.
Furnica appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Martin tries to bum rush Furnica with a series of wild strikes but Furnica uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Furnica tries to counter with a takedown but Martin is quick to defend against it.
Martin scores with a nice right hand.
Martin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Furnica.
Martin lands a slapping body shot.
Martin scores with a decent looking hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martin has a takedown stuffed.
Martin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Furnica throws a solid leg kick but Martin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Furnica.

Furnica pulls Martin in close to prevent any damage.
Furnica is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Martin is aware though and is defending well.
Martin wants to control from the top but Furnica keeps moving.
Furnica is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Martin frees his head nicely. Oh but Furnica has switched to an armbar! Martin is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
