Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Suicide Jimmy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Baine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jimmy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Diary Of A Madman. Suicide Jimmy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Suicide Jimmy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matthew Baine! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy body kick from Jimmy and Baine counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Baine not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Baine throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jimmy works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Baine slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jimmy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Baine postures up.
Baine looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baine trying to control but Jimmy is working from the bottom. Jimmy controlling Baine's posture. Baine trying to control but Jimmy is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jimmy misses with a wild body shot. Jimmy just misses with a punch to the body.
Jimmy misses with a looping right. And Baine tries to counter it with a takedown but Jimmy pushes his down on his head and steps out. Jimmy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Baine at a distance.
Baine feints and as Jimmy raises his hands in defense, Baine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Baine seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jimmy has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Baine controlling from the top position. Jimmy working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baine pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jimmy is keeping the position for now. Baine trying to control but Jimmy is working from the bottom. Baine is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Baine looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Baine shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jimmy sprawls well. Jimmy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Baine gets slowly back to his feet. Jimmy moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jimmy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Jimmy lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Baine backwards. Baine has Jimmy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jimmy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jimmy swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Jimmy throws a punch but it's blocked by Baine. Jimmy misses with a punch on the inside.
Baine wants to take the fight to the mat but Jimmy manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Suicide Jimmy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Baine. Jimmy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baine misses with a takedown attempt and Jimmy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Baine's knee momentarily. Baine slips a straight right by Jimmy. No luck with that takedown attempt from Baine. Baine fails with the takedown and Jimmy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Baine stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jimmy. Baine slips under a jab from Jimmy. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Baine shoots for a takedown but Jimmy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Baine moves out of range as Jimmy strikes. No luck for Baine with that takedown attempt. Jimmy appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Jimmy misses with an uppercut. Baine saw that one coming. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jimmy throws a right hand that misses
and Baine counters with a shoot takedown. Jimmy fights it but they end up in guard. Jimmy pulls Baine in close to his closed guard and prevents Baine from doing any damage or advancing position. Jimmy keeping moving, preventing Baine from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Suicide Jimmy dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Baine tries for a takedown but Jimmy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Baine shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Baine drives through with a takedown into Jimmy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Baine trying to control the position from guard on top but Jimmy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jimmy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Baine slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. That's one minute gone in the round. Jimmy desperately trying to maintain half guard. Baine wants to control but Jimmy is keeping him busy. Baine wants to pass to mount but Jimmy is defending the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jimmy is trying to get back to full guard. Jimmy is staying active underneath Baine, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jimmy wants to control but Baine is keeping busy.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Baine trying to mount his opponent but Jimmy defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Baine takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Baine fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Suicide Jimmy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Baine. Baine shoots in for a double leg but Jimmy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Baine shoots in for a takedown but Jimmy shows good takedown defense. Baine looking to score a takedown here. Jimmy is defending well but Baine drives through and ends up in Jimmy's guard. Jimmy keeping full guard, as Baine tries to pass. Jimmy is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Baine checks the leg kick. Baine closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Baine is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jimmy's shoulder. That is not cool. Let's hope that Baine has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jimmy is looking to regain half guard here but Baine keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jimmy is working hard here to advance position. Sloppy strikes there by Baine. Baine trying to control the action but Jimmy is working from the bottom. Baine controls the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Baine scores with punches from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matthew Baine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Baine moves nicely into side control. Jimmy is trying to improve his position. Baine tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Baine wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jimmy keeps working.

And that's the end of the fight! Matthew Baine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Baine has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
