Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Sands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sands comes to the cage accompanied by Hip Hop - By: Dead Prez. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Sands! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Jack! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sands lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sands connects with a single shot there. A swing and a miss from Sands. Jack drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sands defends it well. Jack keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sands. Sands looks to land a left hand but Jack moved out of range nicely. Jack is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Nice uppercut there from Sands. Sands scores with a hook. Sands scores with a decent looking hook. Sands looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Jack on the wrong end of a nice jab. A jab from Sands misses. Jack tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Jack on the wrong end of a nice hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sands connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Sands throws a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sands digs a good body shot into Jack's ribs. Sands cracks Jack with an open hand slap. and Jack decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sands's guard. Sands kicks Jack off and gets to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sands with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sands looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sands scores with a sloppy right hand. Jack should have avoided that one. Carl Sands is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters circle momentarily. Sands darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Sands lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jack moves out of range of the strikes. Sands jabs Jack right on the nose. Jack blinks but takes it well. Sands lands a jab. Jack ducks under a wild hook from Sands. Jack tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Sands lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jack's sensitive parts. Jack takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sands throws out a loose jab but Jack uses good head movement to avoid it. Jack changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Jack takes one to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sands swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jack changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Sands lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jack drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Carl Sands seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sands fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sloppy strikes from Sands. Those never looked like landing. Jack changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Jack bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sands lands a glancing blow to the side of Jack's head. Jack ducks right into an uppercut from Sands. Jack displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sands throws out the jab. Nice cross by Sands. A left lands for Sands. Sands throws a combination that misses and Jack counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jack drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jack jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jack won't allow Sands to sweep him here. Jack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jack drops back looking for a leg! Sands is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sands manages to kick Jack off! Jack jumps back into Sands's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sands pulls Jack in close to his closed guard and prevents Jack from doing any damage or advancing position. Sands manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jack manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sands cracks Jack with a solid left hand. Sands got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jack has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sands has managed to get both his arms back between Jack's legs - danger averted. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Sands lands a couple of elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carl Sands dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sands is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jack can do to turn this around? Sands connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jack's hands. Sands darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Sands misses with an uppercut
and Jack counters with a takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jack tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jack has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sands is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jack's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Sands moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jack drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jack jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sands tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sands bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jack's guard. Sands scoring with some ground and pound. Sands content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Sands chips away with some ground and pound. Jack is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sands connects with a couple of short punches. Sands scoring with some ground and pound. Sands is working Jack over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Sands lands a couple of decent looking shots. Sands cracks Jack with a solid left hand. Sands wants to control from the top but Jack keeps moving. Jack is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Sands frees his head nicely. Oh but Jack has switched to an armbar! Sands is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
