Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Burke Heimer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Chatillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burke Heimer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Burke Heimer ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Chatillon! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heimer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Heimer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Heimer throws a series of punches but Chatillon moves out of range. A left lands for Heimer . We've been told by Heimer 's head coaches at Thomas Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Chatillon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Heimer . Chatillon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Chatillon misses with a takedown attempt and Heimer counters with a stiff right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chatillon lands a jab to the nose. Chatillon misses with a right hand and Heimer counters with a right hand to the body. Chatillon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Heimer is looking to counter punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heimer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chatillon throws out the jab. Burke Heimer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Heimer throws a half hearted mid kick. Nice defenses there by Heimer . Heimer swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Chatillon scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Chatillon ducks under a wild hook from Heimer . Chatillon is looking for the big counter here. A jab from Heimer misses. Heimer avoids a low kick by using good footwork. It looked like Heimer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Heimer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chatillon's head backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heimer misses with a straight right. Heimer looks to land a combination but Chatillon avoids it well. Chatillon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Chatillon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Heimer 's guard. Heimer looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chatillon scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chatillon throws a big elbow that misses. Heimer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Chatillon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Chatillon lands a couple of elbows. Chatillon is looking to pass into half guard but Heimer pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Heimer is in guard. Chatillon trying to keep a closed guard but Heimer is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chatillon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chatillon throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Heimer to regain full guard. Heimer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chatillon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Chatillon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heimer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Chatillon throws an elbow that misses. Heimer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chatillon's guard. Nice move by Heimer !
Chatillon working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Heimer has passed into half guard!
Chatillon is looking for a sweep. Heimer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Heimer prevents Chatillon from improving his position. Chatillon gets back to full guard.
Chatillon looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Heimer passes into side control.
Chatillon is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Heimer off and has taken his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Burke Heimer will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Heimer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Chatillon misses with a double jab
and Heimer counters with an inside leg kick. Heimer moves out of range of the strikes. Heimer looks to throw the jab but Chatillon is out of range. Chatillon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Heimer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heimer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chatillon sees it coming and avoids it easily. Chatillon changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Chatillon throws a jab but it's blocked by Heimer . Nice uppercut there from Chatillon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heimer scores with a kick to the midsection. Jab by Heimer . Chatillon misses with a low kick.
Chatillon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Heimer . Heimer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Chatillon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Heimer 's guard. Chatillon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Heimer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chatillon has Heimer in his guard.
Our spies down at at Touch Of Death Combat Academy inform us that Chatillon has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Chatillon throws his legs up looking for a submission but Heimer uses it to pass to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heimer happy to just control the position for now. Chatillon tries to improve position but can't. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chatillon tries to control but Heimer manages to take his back. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Chatillon tries to escape the position.
Heimer has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Chatillon's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heimer controlling well, preventing Chatillon from escaping the position.
Heimer is trying to stick to Chatillon's back but Chatillon is turning into Heimer . He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Heimer 's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Chatillon. Chatillon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Heimer keeping full guard, as Chatillon tries to pass. Heimer keeping moving, preventing Chatillon from controlling successfully. Heimer pulls Chatillon in close to prevent any damage. Chatillon makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chatillon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Heimer is keeping the position for now. Chatillon trying to control the position from guard on top but Heimer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chatillon advances position into side control! Chatillon is trying to ground and pound but Heimer uses the momentary lack of control by Chatillon to regain half guard. Chatillon misses with a head shot. Heimer uses the momentum to regain guard. Thomas Chatillon has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chatillon scoring with punches to the head and body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Burke Heimer will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Heimer didn't expect that. Heimer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chatillon is looking to work some ground and pound but Heimer has wrist control. Chatillon is in close to Heimer 's body, working some short punches and elbows. Chatillon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Heimer pulls Chatillon in to control the position. Chatillon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Chatillon wants to pass the guard but Heimer is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chatillon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Chatillon scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Chatillon lands a couple of digs. Chatillon is looking to work some ground and pound but Heimer has wrist control. Chatillon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Heimer 's head. Chatillon chips away with some ground and pound. Heimer is adopting a defensive guard. Heimer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Chatillon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Thomas Chatillon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chatillon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Heimer but Heimer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Burke Heimer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Chatillon closes the distance and clinches up with Heimer , looking for a takedown. Chatillon pushes Heimer against the cage but Heimer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A little feinted left hand from Heimer on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Burke Heimer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Chatillon. Heimer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chatillon's head backwards. Chatillon takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Heimer missing with a left hand there. Chatillon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Chatillon lands with a straight right. Heimer didn't see that one coming. Heimer delivers a nice body kick. Chatillon dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Chatillon misses with a left hand enabling Heimer to counter with a crisp jab. Heimer connects with a leg kick. Chatillon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chatillon throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Heimer counter with a right hand. Heimer lands a right hook to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Thomas Chatillon. I think Heimer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
