Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alberto El Parton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danzig De Vries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Parton comes to the cage accompanied by Licensed Tequila. Danzig De Vries will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alberto El Parton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Danzig De Vries!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Parton missing with a left hand there. De Vries was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from De Vries! But no joy.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! El Parton crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from De Vries - the referee stops the clock and El Parton gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says De Vries. El Parton manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

El Parton moves into the clinch successfully.
A left hand lands to the body for De Vries.
El Parton is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Nice body punch from De Vries.
El Parton is breathing heavily.
El Parton has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. De Vries is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
De Vries using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
De Vries lands a left hand that snaps the head of El Parton backwards.

It looks like Alberto El Parton has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Vries is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

De Vries fakes the leg kick and cracks El Parton in the body.

A chopping leg kick lands by De Vries.
Alberto El Parton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
El Parton shoots in looking for a takedown but De Vries manages to keep the fight standing, pushing El Parton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
De Vries misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
El Parton takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
De Vries fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt El Parton.
El Parton takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
El Parton fails with the takedown
and De Vries makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alberto El Parton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
De Vries throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

De Vries scores with a kick to the midsection.

De Vries lands a big head kick that sends El Parton tumbling to the mat! De Vries takes a step backwards and waves El Parton back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
De Vries throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Alberto El Parton's cut is getting worse.
El Parton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but De Vries swivels and escapes.
De Vries throws a counter combo.
No luck for El Parton with that takedown attempt.
De Vries throws a fast counter high kick but El Parton manages to duck under it in time.
De Vries lands with a nice body kick.
El Parton will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

El Parton misses with a lunging right hand
and De Vries scores with a counter punch that sends El Parton to the canvas! De Vries smells blood - he's punishing El Parton with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! El Parton has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danzig De Vries!
A relieved looking Danzig De Vries thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
