Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Rex Mason!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Fillman lands.
It looks like Rex Mason has been cut.
Mason instigates a clinch.
Mason has Fillman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fillman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mason is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fillman gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Mason missing with knees to the body.
Fillman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mason has managed to clinch.
Mason wants a takedown.
Aon Fillman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rex Mason.
Fillman tries to break the clinch but Mason is controlling the position.
Fillman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Mason is trying to trip Fillman. He has hold of a leg but Fillman is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mason persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fillman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fillman has his foot on Mason's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mason works his way back into a safe position though.
Fillman working for a triangle but Mason defends it easily.
Mason drops back looking for a leg! Fillman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fillman manages to kick Mason off! Mason jumps back into Fillman's guard.
Mason drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mason jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fillman throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fillman looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Mason is defending well. Fillman quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Mason has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Fillman celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Aon Fillman!
