Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tech Nine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tech Nine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nine enables Jitsu to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nine manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Nine keeping moving, preventing Jitsu from controlling successfully.

Nine looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nine looking for a guillotine here but Jitsu defends easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jitsu pushing down on Nine's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Nine looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jitsu controlling the action here.
Jitsu working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Jitsu slows the pace down in half guard.

Jitsu is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jitsu stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
It looks like Jitsu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Nine wants to get back to full guard.

Jitsu is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Nine tries to get to full guard but Jitsu has control of the leg.

Jitsu is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nine has managed to free his arm - good work.
Nine is looking to improve his position.
Nine regains full guard. Nicely done.

Nine looking for a guillotine here but Jitsu defends easily.
Jitsu sitting in guard here, content to control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nine is on top in guard.

Jitsu working for a triangle but Nine defends it easily.
Nine trying to control the position from guard on top but Jitsu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jitsu is controlling Nine's posture.
Nine prevents Jitsu from getting back to his feet.
Jitsu looks winded!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nine slips nicely into half guard.
Jitsu tries to roll over but Nine keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jiu Jitsu dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Jitsu throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nine was covering up waiting for the punch and Jitsu finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Jitsu passes Nine's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jitsu frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The referee warns Nine that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Nine is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at School of Hard Knocks, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Jitsu lands with some strikes.

Jitsu is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jitsu is breathing heavily.
Jitsu is trying to control. Nine wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Jitsu not doing much here.
Jiu Jitsu has got the better of the ground game so far.
Nine has a hand on Jitsu's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jitsu takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Nine tries to improve his position but Jitsu has taken his back! Jitsu has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Nine tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Jitsu pushes Nine away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jiu Jitsu!
