Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Perfect Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ricky Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Perfect Striker!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker avoids the head kick by Kelly.
Some bone on bone action there as Striker checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kelly changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Striker tries to avoid it but Kelly manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Striker to the ground. Striker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Striker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Striker misses with a straight left.
Striker finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Striker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kelly is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Striker has Kelly up against the cage in a clinch.
Kelly trying to land knees to the body.
Kelly lands a nice knee to the body.

Striker looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Striker is trying to force a seperation but Kelly has the dominant position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Striker kicks Kelly off and gets back to his feet.

Striker leaves Kelly with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Striker is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kelly is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Striker to the mat. Striker regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Kelly drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Striker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kelly has Striker in his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Striker controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Striker wants to control from the top but Kelly keeps moving.
Kelly on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kelly tries to get out of the position.
Kelly is trying to keep Striker in close.
Striker stops Kelly from standing up.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Striker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kelly manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Striker on his heels. He'll look to pass Striker's guard now, I'm sure.

Kelly decides to stand back up. Kelly steps back and let's Striker get back to his feet.
Striker throws a lazy right hand but Kelly sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kelly moves into the clinch.
Kelly has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Striker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kelly is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Striker can do to turn this around?
Kelly using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Striker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Striker throws a series of punches but Kelly avoids them all with ease.

Kelly fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Striker sprawls well initially but Kelly persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Striker is refusing to be controlled, as Kelly sits in half guard.
Kelly is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Striker is looking to control Kelly's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Striker avoid being mounted?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
