Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adelai Niska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilhelm Reich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reich is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wilhelm Reich in Hell. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adelai Niska!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilhelm Reich!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reich scores with a shot to the body.
Niska shoots for a double leg takedown but Reich sprawls well. He's pushed Niska's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Reich keeps the fight on the outside.
Niska takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Niska fails to land the takedown.

Reich shoots in and bounces Niska off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Niska wants to stand up but Reich is controlling him.
Niska trying to keep a closed guard but Reich is proving a slippery customer.

Reich postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Niska is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Reich, into his guard.

Reich is looking for a triangle but Niska pushes his legs off easily.

Niska avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Niska content to stall in guard here.
Niska trying to control the position from guard on top but Reich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Niska is really struggling to control Reich but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Reich looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Niska stands up and waves to Reich to follow him.
Niska misses with a takedown
and Reich counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Niska thinking.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adelai Niska. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Niska is looking to clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Niska takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Reich closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Reich looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Reich looks gassed!

Reich is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Niska knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reich wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Niska, who protects the arm well.
Niska gets back to half guard.

Niska has one foot on Reich's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Reich scores a takedown into full mount!

Reich wants to take his opponent's back but Niska doesn't allow it.
Niska slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Reich working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Niska's thigh. Niska counters though and makes it back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Reich pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Niska is keeping the position for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Niska tries to clinch up
and Reich makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Reich connects with a crisp jab.
Niska misses with a takedown

and Reich counters with a shoot takedown. Niska fights it but they end up in guard.

Reich drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Niska dives on top into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Niska postures up in Reich's guard and throws a big left but Reich blocks it.

Niska avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilhelm Reich dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Niska closes the distance but Reich moves to the side
letting Reich counter with a right hand.
Nice body punch from Reich.
Niska has his takedown stuffed

and Reich counters with a single leg into guard. Niska didn't expect that.

Reich drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Niska manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Reich has Niska in his guard.

Reich has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Niska can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Niska passes Reich's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Reich wants to get back to full guard.
Niska trying to pass the guard but Reich defending well.
Reich is breathing heavily.

Reich actively working from the bottom here.

Niska missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Niska is controlling the pace.
Reich wants to sweep but Niska has passed to side control!
Reich is looking to regain half guard here but Niska keeps moving and retains side control.

Niska tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Niska has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Reich tries to improve position but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Reich is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Niska off and has taken his back!
Niska surviving as best he can, preventing damage.
Niska trying to control the hands but Reich won't let him.

Niska is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Reich gets his way!

Reich has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Niska trying to control the hands but Reich won't let him.

Reich has got his arm under Niska's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Niska has spun round into Reich's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Niska throws a big right hand that misses.
Niska trying to control the position from guard on top but Reich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Reich had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Niska is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Reich Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Niska's back instead.

Reich is looking for a choke. Niska gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Niska manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Niska advances to half guard.
Reich is not content to let Niska control the position.
Reich is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilhelm Reich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Niska tries to close the distance and clinch but Reich swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Adelai Niska is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Niska takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

enabling Reich to counter with a crisp jab.
Reich is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Niska rather than just go for the knockout.
Niska avoids a punch combination nicely.
Niska shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Reich connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Niska fails with the takedown
and Reich counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adelai Niska. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reich lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Niska shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Reich counters with a right hand to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reich cracks Niska with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Niska on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Niska throws a leg kick but Reich moved away.
Reich lands with an uppercut that bounces Niska off the cage and back into rage.

Reich slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Niska takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Reich counters with a stiff right hand.
A jab from Reich does it's job there.
Reich scores with a decent looking hook.
Reich lands with a cross.
Reich lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Niska misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Reich counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Reich throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Niska takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Reich looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Reich moves nicely into side control.
Niska is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Reich has hold of Niska's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Niska tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Reich cranks the arm and Niska screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Niska, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Wilhelm Reich!
