Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Doo Choi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Doo Choi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Aldo! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Choi has taken the fight to the clinch.
Choi is looking for a takedown. Aldo lands a hook to the side of the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Choi. Choi drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aldo is looking to stand up but Choi won't let him. Choi wants to hit a switch here but Aldo passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Choi there! Choi can't escape the position.
Choi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aldo tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Choi tries to lock up and control but Aldo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Aldo is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aldo manages to capitalize on a mistake by Choi to take his back! Choi rolls, trying to escape but Aldo keeps control of the position.
What's going on here? Aldo has decided to give up on the ground game despite having his opponent's back!
Aldo misses with a left hand and Aldo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Aldo clobbers Choi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Aldo throws a right and a left that Choi avoids nicely. Aldo throws an overhand right that lands on Choi's shoulder, as Choi tries to avoid the shot. Choi fires out a quick counter leg kick but Aldo just manages to avoid it. Choi gets a double leg takedown into Aldo's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Choi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Aldo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Choi controls the pace. Aldo is looking to stand up but Choi isn't so interested in that idea. Choi tries to free his leg and advance position but Aldo is retaining full guard. Choi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Choi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Choi won't allow Aldo to get back to his feet. Choi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Choi jabs at Aldo's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Aldo throws a shot from downtown. Choi moves away and avoids it. A cross from Aldo lands. Choi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Aldo looks to land a right hand but Choi moved out of range. Choi fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Choi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Aldo is trying to stand up here but Choi is controlling him well. Choi is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Choi in particular looking to stall. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Choi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Aldo is looking to escape.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Aldo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Aldo looks to land a combination but Choi avoids it well. Choi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Choi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Aldo sprawls and moves away. Choi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Choi lands in his opponent's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Choi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jose Aldo will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Choi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aldo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Choi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aldo pinned against the cage. Aldo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Aldo! But no joy. Aldo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Choi. Choi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aldo to the mat! Aldo manages to get full guard. Doo Choi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Aldo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Choi controls the pace. Aldo wants to get back to his feet but Choi is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Choi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Aldo is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Choi is pressing down on Aldo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Aldo is holding on for now. Aldo is trying to stand back up but Choi is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Choi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Aldo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Aldo misses with a punch to the body.
Aldo throws a punch but it's blocked by Choi. Aldo struggles to land a body shot inside as Choi controls his hands.
Choi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doo Choi. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head punch blocked on the inside by Choi. Aldo lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Aldo has Choi pressed against the cage, preventing Choi from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Choi blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Choi breaks the clinch.
Aldo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Choi. Jose Aldo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Aldo looks to land a combination but Choi avoids it well. Choi looks for a takedown but Aldo sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big right from Aldo misses. Aldo throws a lazy uppercut
and Choi counters with a lovely shot to the body. Choi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Aldo is able to avoid easily. Choi throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Sloppy strikes from Aldo. Those never looked like landing. Choi with a poor takedown letting Aldo counter with a right hand. Choi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Choi working the strikes but Aldo uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Aldo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Choi is keen to just control but Aldo is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aldo manages to escape and get back to his feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aldo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Aldo is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Choi fails with an attempt to clinch.

Good work by Aldo as he checks the leg kick. Aldo doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Doo Choi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Aldo scores with a one two! Choi had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Aldo misses with a looping left. It looked like Choi was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Choi shoots in and gets a takedown into Aldo's guard. Choi stops Aldo from standing up. Choi stands up and waves to Aldo to follow him. Aldo slaps away a takedown attempt from Choi, before circling back to the center of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Aldo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Aldo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choi wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Aldo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Aldo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Choi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Aldo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Aldo uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Aldo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Choi moves away from the strike by Aldo. Nice sprawl there from Aldo as Choi shoots in. Aldo works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Aldo listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Choi moves in looking to clinch but Aldo pushes him off. Choi tries to land a front kick but Aldo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Choi throws a sloppy head kick and Aldo moves out of range easily. Aldo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Aldo cracks Choi with a good jab. Aldo lands a two punch combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Choi misses with a takedown and Aldo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Choi dives in and grabs Aldo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aldo pushes down on Choi's head and hops out. Aldo throws a lazy right hand but Choi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Choi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Doo Choi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A low kick from Choi is predictable there and Aldo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Jose Aldo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Aldo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
