Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Rochon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Audet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rochon's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Quo Vadis - Hunter/Killer. Michael Audet is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Audet thuds his right hand into Rochon's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Nice takedown defense from Rochon. No joy for Audet on that attempt. Audet misses with a low kick as Rochon jumps back. Audet throws a head kick but Rochon moves out of range.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. No luck for Audet with that takedown attempt. Audet closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Audet looks gassed! Rochon struggling a bit here. Audet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Audet has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Rochon is trying to control Audet's posture but Audet avoids it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Audet throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rochon throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Rochon throws a combination that misses and Audet decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rochon's guard. Rochon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Audet postures up and lands a big shot to Rochon's brow. Audet lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rochon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Audet working some strikes from top position. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Audet walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Nice shot by Audet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Audet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rochon moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Audet fails with the takedown. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Audet. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Rochon clinches but Audet breaks the clinch and Audet counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rochon won't be happy with that. Rochon sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rochon on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rochon tries to get out of the position. Audet is looking to take a break and control but Rochon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Audet is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Audet is keen to just control but Rochon is a slippery customer. Audet thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rochon's head. Audet sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Audet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rochon moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Audet throws the kick towards the body but Rochon avoids it. Audet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rochon tries to avoid it but Audet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rochon to the ground. Rochon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rochon scores with a hook to the body. Audet takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Rochon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Audet counters with a lovely straight right hand! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rochon fails with an attempt to clinch.
