Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jed Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Phol!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phol misses with a lunging right hand
and Knight counters with an inside leg kick.
Knight scores with a nice right hand.
King Phol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knight uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Phol.
Phol feints and then cracks Knight's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Knight down.
Phol connects with a crisp jab.
Jab, jab by Knight - just one landing.
Phol checks a leg kick nicely.
Nice defenses there by Knight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Phol. Knight does a little dance to reset his feet.
Phol ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Knight moves away.
Knight has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Wreckshop in the buildup to the fight.
Phol uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Knight has time to react.
A clash of legs there as Knight blocks the low kick.
Phol scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters circling - Knight throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Knight throws a shot from downtown. Phol moves away and avoids it.
Phol defending well as Knight loads up on a big left hand.

Phol lands a leg kick that knocks Knight off balance momentarily.
Phol's coach down at MM eh Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Phol's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Phol wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Phol ducks under a wild hook from Knight.
Knight connects with a looping right hand.
A slow jab from Knight misses its intended target.
Phol wants to slow Knight down by chopping away at his legs.
Knight takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Phol misses with a double jab.
Phol is looking to chop away at Knight's legs.
Phol misses the shot to the body.
Phol throws a body punch but Knight moves out of range.
Phol swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Knight was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Knight tries to close the distance and clinch up but Phol swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Good leg kick by Knight there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Phol looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Phol connects with an inside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Phol lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Phol misses the body punch
and Knight cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Knight misses with a body shot.
Knight listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Phol digs a good body shot into Knight's ribs.
Knight misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Phol.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Phol! But no joy.
Nice shot lands for Phol.
Phol is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Knight rather than just go for the knockout.
Knight lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Knight has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Phol.
Knight tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Phol counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Phol misses with a straight left.
Knight takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Phol scores with a sloppy right hand. Knight should have avoided that one.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knight rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Phol counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Knight throws a right hand that misses
and Phol cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Phol misses with a double jab.
Phol checks a leg kick.
Phol steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Knight feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Phols jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Knight throws the left hand but Phol avoids the punch easily.
Knight throws a leg kick but Phol checks it.
Knight takes one on the button.
Knight slips a jab from Phol.
Knight throws an overhand right that lands on Phol's shoulder, as Phol tries to avoid the shot.
Knight connects with a nice looking jab.
Knight is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Knight fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Knight lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.


Phol is rocked!


It looks like King Phol has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Phol walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Knight checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Phol is still on wobbly legs! Can Knight finish him?
Knight lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Phol falls backwards - clearly groggy! Knight dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jed Knight!
