Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bide Sousa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wham Bam! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bam is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bam's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Sousa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bam is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bam connects with a couple of short punches. Bam is working Sousa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Bam must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sousa is breathing heavily. Bam makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sousa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bam scoring with some ground and pound. Bam postures up and lands a big shot to Sousa's brow. Bam is in close to Sousa's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Sousa looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Bam landing with the ground and pound. That's three minutes gone in the round. Bam in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Bam connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sousa some visible discomfort.
Bam grinds an elbow into Sousa's temple. Bam landing a few strikes. Bam lands a strong strike to the head of Sousa. That's dazed him! Bam looking to finish here. Sousa is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Bam lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wham Bam! In his post fight interview, Wham Bam started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
