Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genaddu Chakovshiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Genaddu Chakovshiy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Matt Griffin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Genaddu Chakovshiy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matt Griffin! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chakovshiy checks a leg kick nicely. A punch combination from Griffin misses. Griffin connects with a body shot. Griffin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chakovshiy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Chakovshiy changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Griffin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Griffin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Griffin working away. Griffin trying to control the action but Chakovshiy is working from the bottom. Chakovshiy holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin wants to stand but Chakovshiy is controlling his arm. Griffin trying to control the position but Chakovshiy is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griffin working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Griffin trying to control the position but Chakovshiy is working away. Chakovshiy tries to bench press Griffin off him but Griffin keeps the position. Chakovshiy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Griffin controls the position from side control. Griffin wants to stand but Chakovshiy has his arm trapped. Chakovshiy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Griffin wants to control but Chakovshiy is keeping him busy.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Griffin looks to throw a body kick and Chakovshiy counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Still in half guard, Chakovshiy seems content to control. Chakovshiy works his foot free and advances to mount. Chakovshiy working for a submission but Griffin is keeping him at bay. Griffin is trying desperately to improve position. Chakovshiy looking to secure an arm triangle but Griffin defends it well. Chakovshiy has hold of Griffin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Griffin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Chakovshiy working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Griffin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Chakovshiy. Chakovshiy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Griffin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chakovshiy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Griffin's face.

Chakovshiy is working for a guillotine from mount but Griffin frees his head quite easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Griffin in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Chakovshiy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Griffin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Chakovshiy is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Chakovshiy!
