Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Balzac Tzovalzeck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anderson Aldo! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo tries a head kick but it misses.
Tzovalzeck feinted with a counter takedown. Aldo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Tzovalzeck moves into the clinch successfully.
Aldo stops a takedown attempt from Tzovalzeck.
Tzovalzeck landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Tzovalzeck's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Aldo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Aldo looks to land a combination but Tzovalzeck avoids it well. As Aldo looks to move away, Tzovalzeck throws a big counter combo but Aldo just gets out of the way. Tzovalzeck looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Tzovalzeck clinches up with Aldo and pushes him back against the cage. Aldo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tzovalzeck is trying to drag Aldo to the mat but Aldo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Aldo wants to get back to striking at distance but Tzovalzeck won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tzovalzeck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Anderson Aldo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tzovalzeck shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Tzovalzeck is nestled in close to Aldo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Tzovalzeck is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Aldo has managed to free his arm - good work. Tzovalzeck is working for a kimura but Aldo is defending it quite comfortably.
Tzovalzeck maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Aldo could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Tzovalzeck has cracked it and Aldo is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Tzovalzeck!
