Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Benedict Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hernandez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ashes Remain - End Of Me. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benedict Pena!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hector Hernandez!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pena goes for a double leg but Hernandez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hernandez continues to drive forward.
Pena blocks a head kick by Hernandez.
Hernandez has closed the distance and engaged Pena in a clinch.
Hernandez misses with a knee to the head.
Pena takes a shot to the head.
Hernandez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hernandez rushes Pena and presses him up against the cage.
Pena wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hernandez has him pressed against the cage.
Pena tries to pull guard but Hernandez won't allow it.
Pena can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benedict Pena. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hernandez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pena's efforts to push away.
Hernandez keeps control of Pena as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hernandez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hernandez moves into range and clinches up with Pena.
Pena misses with some punches.
Hernandez is pushing Pena up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Hernandez lands a hook that snaps the head of Pena backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hernandez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hernandez moves out of range of the body kick from Pena.
Hernandez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pena, pushing him back against the cage.
Pena is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hernandez is defending well for now.

Hernandez lands with a right to the head.
Pena is rocked!
Hernandez has a couple of punches blocked by Pena.
Oh Pena is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hernandez misses with a short punch on the inside.
Hernandez is working Pena over with knees. Oh, he's thrown a big one to the head! Pena is out! One big shot and it's all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Hector Hernandez!
