Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Corey Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen BLANK - Take Your Crown as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Corey Burton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joel Diaz! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Ben Watson and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz misses with a combination
and Burton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Burton. Diaz tries to break the clinch but Burton is controlling the position. Burton has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Diaz after a bit of a struggle. Burton prevents Diaz from breaking the clinch. Burton tightens his grip and picks Diaz up, before dumping him to the ground. Diaz manages to land in guard. Diaz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Burton controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burton sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Diaz's guard. Well, if Burton is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Burton manages to pass to mount!

That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz tries to lock up and control but Burton gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Diaz is in all sorts of trouble here.

Burton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Diaz looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz trying to control but not successfully. Burton controls the action. Diaz trying to control the hands but Burton breaks the grip.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Burton gets his way!
Burton gets his hands free as Diaz looks to control. Burton controlling from the back. Burton is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Diaz is defending well though. Burton let's go of the attempt for now. Burton is riding his opponent, not letting Diaz buck him off. Diaz is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burton controlling from the back. Burton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Burton is hanging on to Diaz's back as he tries to escape.
Burton looking for the choke from the back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz fending off the submission attempt from Burton. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A bit of a pause in the action here. Burton controlling the positon. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corey Burton dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Burton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diaz, pushing him back against the cage. Burton tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Diaz avoids it. Burton has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Diaz after a bit of a struggle. Diaz prevents the takedown attempt.
Burton looks to throw an elbow but misses. Diaz working hard to break the clinch. Diaz is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Burton drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corey Burton. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burton effectively controlling the action here. Burton has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Diaz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burton is trying to trip Diaz. He has hold of a leg but Diaz is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Burton persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Burton won't allow Diaz to sweep him here. Burton passes easily into side control. Nice work. Burton stands up and beckons Diaz to his feet. Diaz scores with a hook to the body. Burton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Oooooh!!! Diaz has knocked Burton down with a huge combo! Diaz steps away and waves a wobbly Burton back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Corey Burton has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Diaz dances in with a quick combination. Burton is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Diaz snaps Burton's head back. Burton stumbles backwards against the cage. Diaz steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Burton's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Burton just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Joel Diaz!
