Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Masada The Zealot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Sigit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sigit is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gie. The key to victory for Masada The Zealot has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Masada The Zealot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, The Sigit! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Zealot misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sigit.
The Zealot misses with a double jab.
No joy there for The Zealot, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sigit walks into a straight right hand from The Zealot. The Zealot throws the left hand but Sigit avoids the punch easily. Sigit changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Sigit will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sigit takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The Zealot connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Sigit keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sigit tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Sigit tries for a takedown but The Zealot sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sigit on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The Zealot swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The Zealot throws the left hand but Sigit avoids the punch easily. The Zealot slaps away a takedown attempt from Sigit, before circling back to the center of the mat. An attempted straight right counter from The Zealot misses the target. Masada The Zealot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Sigit. The Zealot waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sigit. And Sigit tries to counter it with a takedown but The Zealot pushes his down on his head and steps out. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The Zealot gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sigit to score an easy takedown into full guard. Sigit wants to pass the guard but The Zealot is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sigit loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sigit trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The Zealot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sigit on the ground. Sigit advances to half guard. Sigit thows a huge punch but The Zealot dodges it nicely.
Sigit throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Zealot taking some punishment here, with Sigit in his half guard. Sigit is nestled in close to The Zealot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The Zealot really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sigit throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sigit thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sigit content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sigit thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Zealot's head. Sigit throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sigit not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Sigit has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sigit connects with a nice short shot to The Zealot's temple. Sigit trying to pass the guard but The Zealot defending well. Sigit sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. The Zealot defending well though. Sigit looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The Zealot avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sigit. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sigit looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Zealot with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Zealot keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Sigit takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Sigit misses with a head shot. The Zealot uses the momentum to regain guard. Sigit throwing strikes from guard but The Zealot blocks nicely. Sigit trying to control but The Zealot is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sigit throwing strikes but missing. Sigit slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Zealot managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Sigit.
The Zealot avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sigit. Sigit is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. The Zealot knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sigit working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Sigit trying to control the action but The Zealot is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
The Sigit dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Sigit scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Sigit working the strikes but The Zealot uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Sigit tries to pass the half guard into mount. The Zealot knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The Zealot keeping control of the position. Sigit is just content to waste time from the top position. The Zealot takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sigit prevents The Zealot from getting back to his feet. Sigit loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Zealot is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sigit is controlling him. Sigit trying to control but The Zealot is working from the bottom. The Zealot utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sigit postures up in The Zealot's guard and throws a big left but The Zealot blocks it. Sigit throws a big right hand that misses. The Zealot working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sigit. Sigit advances position into side control! Sigit looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sigit throwing shots but missing, from side control. Sigit in side control, throwing shots but The Zealot defends. The Zealot defending against the ground and pound. Sigit thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sigit has hold of The Zealot's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! The Zealot tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Sigit cranks the arm and The Zealot screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from The Zealot, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). The Sigit! The Sigit was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
