Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr with a poor takedown
and Basta counters with a left and a right that stings Kerr.
Kerr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Basta on his heels. He'll look to pass Basta's guard now, I'm sure.
Basta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kerr on the ground.

Basta is looking to stand up but Kerr isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Basta is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kerr defends well.

Basta changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kerr tries to avoid it but Basta manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kerr to the ground. Kerr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kerr closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Basta kicks Kerr off and gets back to his feet.
