Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Leo Murray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Stevens! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murray lands a high kick!
It looks like Jake Stevens has been cut. Murray misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Murray fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stevens. Leo Murray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Murray misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stevens.

so Stevens counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Murray has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Stevens is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stevens has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Murray is trying to keep an underhook but Stevens manages to get the takedown into half guard. Stevens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Murray keeps working. Murray manages to escape and get back to his feet! Murray throws a body shot but no joy. A head kick misses from Murray. Murray tries a head kick but it misses.
Murray fakes the leg kick and cracks Stevens in the body. Stevens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Murray is fending him off so far but Stevens persists. Nope, Murray circles away and we're back to standing. Murray quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Murray. Murray throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stevens. Stevens shoots and misses letting Murray counter with a right hand. Murray stuffs the takedown attempt from Stevens. Stevens gets slowly back to his feet. As Stevens looks to move away, Murray throws a big counter combo but Stevens just gets out of the way. Leo Murray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Stevens. Murray looks to score with a jab to the body but Stevens is just out of range. Stevens wants to counter the offense by Murray and move into the clinch position. Murray throws a sloppy head kick so Stevens counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Stevens is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Murray is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Murray has escaped and now he's on top! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stevens holds on and takes a little breather. Stevens manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Murray manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stevens gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. A punch combination from Murray misses. Stevens lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Murray goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Murray stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Murray wants it to stay on the feet. It looked like Murray wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Murray tries a head kick but it misses.
Stevens shoots in but Murray avoids the takedown attempt easily. Murray thinks about countering with a body kick. Murray tests Stevens's chin there with a solid looking shot. A head kick by Murray misses and Stevens counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Murray wants to get back to his feet.
Murray pushes Stevens off and gets back to his feet. Murray is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murray looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Stevens stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Murray. Stevens misses with a takedown attempt - Murray sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A punch combination from Murray misses. Stevens feints the counter takedown. A momentary lapse in concentration from Murray enables Stevens to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Murray manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Stevens gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Stevens steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Murray. That one must have hurt. Murray displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stevens. Murray misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Stevens shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Stevens was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stevens moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Stevens is trying to get an arm triangle but Murray is defending well. Murray is pushing Stevens's head away, looking to escape. Stevens manages to hold on to the position though. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leo Murray dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jake Stevens's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Stevens decides to stand back up. Stevens steps back and let's Murray get back to his feet. Stevens throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Murray tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stevens is in Murray's guard. Murray is looking to stand up but Stevens isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Stevens's corner is telling him to maintain position. Murray wants to stand but Stevens is controlling the position. Murray trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Murray has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Stevens is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Our sources have told us that Murray has been working on his elbows in the gym. Murray is looking to take this one to the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stevens prevents the takedown attempt.

Murray throws a counter high kick but Stevens was just alert enough to avoid it. Stevens shoots in looking for a takedown. Murray tries to sprawl out of it but Stevens keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Murray manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Murray lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Murray fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stevens has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Nice straight punches there by Murray. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Murray.
Stevens is rocked! Murray looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Stevens is still on wobbly legs! Can Murray finish him? Murray lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Stevens goes down and covers up as Murray starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
