Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oscar Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Hogle! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hogle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hogle off to one side. Anderson clinches. Hogle wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Anderson fails to pull guard.
Hogle has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Anderson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Hogle throws a head punch that misses. Hogle throws an elbow but it misses.
Hogle jumps into guard, dragging Anderson to the mat.
Anderson gets to his feet - Hogle follows without any prompting. Anderson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hogle wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Anderson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Anderson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Hogle gets control of Anderson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hogle will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Hogle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Anderson is controlling him. Anderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Anderson trying to control but Hogle is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hogle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Anderson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hogle is working an open guard so Anderson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Anderson gets a takedown into half guard. Hogle looks gassed! Anderson wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hogle trying to control but Anderson postures up.
Anderson wants to free his trapped foot but Hogle is holding on for dear life with his legs. It looks like Anderson is going to stand back up.
Hogle wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hogle regains full guard. Nicely done. Hogle manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hogle prevents Anderson from getting the reversal. Hogle trying to control but he's not successful this time. Anderson is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hogle looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Hogle's attempts to control the action. Hogle working the ground and pound effectively.
Hogle wants to control the pace but Anderson is squirming around nicely. Hogle sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Oscar Anderson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hogle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Anderson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hogle chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hogle fails with the takedown and Anderson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hogle trying to hold on to Anderson's head to control him but Anderson postures up.
Hogle is trying to stand up here but Anderson is controlling him well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Anderson wants to stand up but Hogle has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hogle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hogle. Anderson trying to control but Hogle is working from the bottom. Hogle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Anderson wants to get back to full guard. Hogle not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Anderson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Hogle jumps into side control! Hogle tries to stand but Anderson is controlling his head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson trying to control but Hogle flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hogle throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Good control from Hogle. Hogle thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Anderson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Anderson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hogle controlling well, preventing Anderson from escaping the position.
Anderson is working hard here to advance position. Anderson trying to control the position but Hogle manages to sink in the hooks. Anderson wants to escape the position.
Will Hogle go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Hogle has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Anderson is defending well but eventually Hogle manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Anderson has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
