Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kostas Karelis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sungwon Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karelis comes into the arena with Sail - AwolNation blaring out of the sound system. Jung has chosen Body Head Bangerz feat. Lil' Boosie & Young Bleed - I Smoke, I Drank as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kostas Karelis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Sungwon Jung! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karelis instigates a clinch. Jung lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Karelis's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A quick uppercut on the inside from Karelis. A nice left hand lands by Jung.

Jung lands with a light punch inside. Jung lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Jung wants to take the fight to the mat but Karelis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Jung fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Jung's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Jung is staying tight to Karelis's torso, preventing him from escaping. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Karelis wants to control but Jung postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jung trying to control the action but Karelis is working from the bottom. Karelis manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Karelis content to control rather than advance. Karelis is keen to just control but Jung is a slippery customer.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Karelis throws a lazy right hand but Jung sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jung takes a swing at Karelis's ribcage but misses. Jung misses with a head kick.
Kostas Karelis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Karelis checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Karelis throws a hook but Jung blocks it. The fighters circling - Jung throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Karelis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Jung is looking to slow Karelis down with leg kicks. Karelis swings for the body but Jung moves out of range.
Jung uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Karelis. Karelis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jung connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Karelis's hands. Karelis misses with a wild body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sungwon Jung will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Jung fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Karelis bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Jung tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Karelis defends well and Jung ends up having to push Karelis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jung misses with a looping left. Karelis smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Jung motions for Karelis to come forward. Jung throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. It appears Karelis was looking to counter with a kick there. Karelis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jung. Jung lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Karelis circles away quickly and effectively. Jung jabs Karelis right on the nose. Karelis blinks but takes it well. Jung swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Karelis. Jung throws a leg kick that misses. Karelis misses with a hook. Jung ducked under it nicely. Jung has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Karelis misses with a few strikes there.

Karelis appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Jung ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Karelis looks for the body kick but Jung saw that one coming.

Horrible takedown attempt by Jung or perhaps it was just good defense by Karelis, which made it look bad. Kostas Karelis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sungwon Jung. Karelis thows a left - swing and a miss! Karelis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jung was well out of range. Poor timing from Karelis. Karelis swings for the body but Jung moves out of range.
A slow jab from Jung misses its intended target. Jung shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The fighters circling - Karelis throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jung misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Karelis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Karelis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jung. Karelis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Jung closes the distance and clinches up with Karelis, looking for a takedown. Jung pushes Karelis against the cage but Karelis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Karelis takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A slow jab from Karelis misses its intended target. Jung connects with a good right hand that stumbles Karelis. Karelis circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Jung paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Jung wants to land a leg kick but Karelis is out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Karelis takes a swing at Jung's ribcage but misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Jung. Karelis does a little dance to reset his feet. Jung throws a shot from downtown. Karelis moves away and avoids it. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Karelis checks a leg kick. Karelis tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jung manages to circle out of the way. The fight moves into the clinch position. Karelis landing knees to the head.

Jung breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jung shoots in for a takedown but Karelis shows good takedown defense. Jung connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Karelis thows a left - swing and a miss! Jung misses with a kick to the body.

Jung will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jung misses the jab. Karelis connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Jung throws a chopping leg kick but Karelis manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A slapping leg kick lands for Jung.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karelis scores with a spinning back kick! Jung is breathing heavily. Karelis misses with a series of wild punches.
Karelis lands a big head kick that sends Jung tumbling to the mat! Karelis takes a step backwards and waves Jung back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Sungwon Jung has been cut. Jung cracks Karelis with a good jab. Karelis takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Karelis throws a head kick that misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A slow jab from Karelis misses its intended target. Karelis throws a head kick that misses. Jung misses with a body shot.
Jung feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Karelis's calf. Karelis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jung lands an overhand right. Jung swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Karelis was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Karelis getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Karelis tries to clinch there but Jung circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jung looks to land a right hand but Karelis moved out of range. Karelis throws a body shot but no joy. Jung drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jung working away. Karelis is not content to let Jung control the position. Jung slows the pace down. Jung trying to control the action but Karelis is working from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jung is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kostas Karelis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Sungwon Jung's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Karelis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Karelis misses with a wild body shot. Jung cracks Karelis with a right hand to the side of the head. Jung connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Karelis feints and then cracks Jung's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jung down. Jung lands a slapping body shot.
Jung shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Karelis as he avoids it easily. Jung misses with a wild body shot. Nice sprawl there from Karelis as Jung shoots in. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Karelis - that will leave a mark!

Jung takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jung takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jung tries to work over Karelis's front leg with a kick but Karelis checks it. Karelis connects with the punch. Jung clobbers Karelis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jung checks a leg kick. Good exchange - Jung coming out on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karelis checks a low kick from Jung. Karelis throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jung drives through with a takedown into guard. Jung trying to control the position from guard on top but Karelis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Karelis is pulling down on Jung's head to control his posture. Karelis working for a triangle but Jung defends it easily.
Karelis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jung's guard. Karelis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karelis controls from within his opponent's guard. Jung is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jung is still trying to improve position. Karelis controls from within his opponent's guard. Jung is pulling down on Karelis's head to control his posture. Karelis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jung is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jung is thwarting Karelis's attempts to control the position. Karelis wants to improve his position but Jung is controlling well.

Jung's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Karelis preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karelis is refusing to be controlled, as Jung sits in half guard. Karelis is trying is best to control the position here. Karelis regains full guard. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kostas Karelis. I think Karelis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
