Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saul Tigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ken Tanaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saul Tigh! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tigh misses with an attempted mid kick.
Tigh has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tanaka is landing a low percentage of strikes. Tigh listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Tigh waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tanaka. Tanaka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tigh was well out of range. Poor timing from Tanaka. Tigh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tanaka looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Tigh scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Tanaka looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Tigh misses with a head kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Tigh darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Tanaka connects with a looping right hand.
Tigh defending well as Tanaka loads up on a big left hand. Tanaka steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tigh. Tigh lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
This has been an exciting period of action! Tigh lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Tigh cracks Tanaka with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Tanaka tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tigh pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Tanaka is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Saul Tigh! Saul Tigh managed to slip a mention for his sponsors, Bullet Proof System, into his post fight interview.
