The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tymonowicz with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mercer misses with a few strikes there.
Mercer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tymonowicz.
Mercer moves in looking to clinch but Tymonowicz pushes him off.
Tymonowicz misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mercer misses with a body kick.
Mercer misses with a double jab.
Mercer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Malik Mercer has been cut.
Mercer lands with a good body shot.
Mercer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tymonowicz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mercer throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Tymonowicz throws a right and a left that Mercer avoids nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tymonowicz throws a chopping leg kick but Mercer manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mercer moves out of range as Tymonowicz throws a body kick.
Tymonowicz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mercer unleashes a big counter combination but Tymonowicz bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Tymonowicz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mercer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mercer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick lands from Tymonowicz that sends Mercer to the canvas. Mercer tries to scramble back to his feet but Tymonowicz brings him back down into side control.
Mercer is rocked!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mercer can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mercer is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tymonowicz is controlling him well.
Mercer is still in real trouble! Can Tymonowicz finish him?
A big shot lands for Tymonowicz! That's hurt Mercer! Will he recover? Tymonowicz fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
