The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O' Brien misses with an uppercut.
Bang doesn't succeed with the takedown
and O' Brien cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
O' Brien jabs Bang right on the nose. Bang blinks but takes it well.
O' Brien scores with a hook to the body. Bang takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bang uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by O' Brien.
O' Brien takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
O' Brien slaps away a takedown attempt from Bang, before circling back to the center of the mat.
O' Brien counters with a body kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that O' Brien has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bang slips under a jab from O' Brien.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around O' Brien's waist but O' Brien gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bang off to one side.

Bang moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bang goes for a double leg but O' Brien avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as O' Brien continues to drive forward.

The fighters circling - O' Brien throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Bang uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

O' Brien lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bang decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

O' Brien is looking for a sweep. Bang is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bang slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Kelvin Bang will probably get the nod.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
O' Brien has the hooks in. Bang is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
