Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emre Hussain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Jensen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Emre Hussain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Jensen! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jensen tries to score with a low kick but Hussain moves his leg out of the way. Hussain has been working on his boxing with his coaches at YOUNG GUNS in the buildup to the fight. Hussain lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jensen on the wrong end of a nice jab. Nice body punch from Hussain. Jensen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Hussain counter with a right hand. Hussain slips under a jab from Jensen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hussain throws a body punch but Jensen moves out of range. Jensen fails with the takedown. A counter left hand to the body from Hussain misses its target. Jensen takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jensen shoots and misses and Hussain counters with a three punch combo that has Jensen backing up. Jensen nods at Hussain to acknowledge the strikes. Emre Hussain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Jensen. Hussain misses with a body shot.

Emre Hussain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jensen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hussain. Hussain lands a lovely overhand right. Jensen shoots in looking for a takedown but Hussain manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jensen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's two minutes gone in the round. Hussain shoots in and bounces Jensen off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hussain slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hussain preventing the sweep. Hussain trying to control the position from guard on top but Jensen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jensen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hussain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hussain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hussain's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jensen is trying to control the position but Hussain postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hussain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jensen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jensen has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hussain has passed into side control.
Jensen sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Hussain scoring with strikes to the body and head. Hussain controlling the action here. Hussain prevents Jensen from improving his position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hussain working over Jensen with some ground and pound. Jensen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jensen tries to get to full guard but Hussain has control of the leg. Jensen has hold of Hussain's hands but Hussain slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jensen is looking for a sweep. Hussain is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hussain lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Still in half guard, Hussain seems content to control. Jensen looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jensen manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emre Hussain dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jensen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Hussain lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Hussain throws a series of punches but Jensen avoids them all with ease. Jensen on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hussain. Hussain obviously looking to wear him down.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hussain connects with a single shot there. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Hussain here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Hussain displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Hussain throws a series of punches but Jensen moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hussain throws a right and a left that both miss. Jensen changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Hussain is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jensen can do to turn this around? Jensen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hussain defends it nicely. Emre Hussain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hussain leaves Jensen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hussain shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jensen is trying to defend but Hussain finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Hussain is pressing down on Jensen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jensen is holding on for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jensen is not content to let Hussain control the position. Jensen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hussain pulls his head out easily. Jensen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jensen looking for subs from the bottom but Hussain mounts him! Jensen is trying desperately to improve position. Hussain lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jensen hang on? Jensen is trying desperately to improve position. Hussain looking to control and managing it successfully. Hussain takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hussain throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jensen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hussain is in Jensen's guard. Hussain showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Hussain has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hussain wants to control from the top but Jensen keeps moving. Hussain is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jensen throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hussain uses it to pass to side control.

Jensen is trying desperately to improve position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brian Jensen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jensen bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
And that's the end of the fight! Emre Hussain showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hussain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
