Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Igydo Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Blue Ice. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Igydo Dall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rich Junior! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Junior is looking to clinch. Dall staying out of range there. Junior throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dall's waist but Dall gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Junior off to one side. Dall dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Junior avoids the body shot from Dall.
Dall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Junior bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Junior working the head and body with strikes. Dall tries to improve position but can't. Junior goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dall has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Junior but great work by Dall. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Junior is trying to get back to half guard. Dall cracks Junior with an elbow. That is naaassty. Junior tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dall wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dall advances to full mount. Dall seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Junior is holding on tight.
Junior tries to lock up and control but Dall gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dall working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Dall seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Junior is holding on tight.
Dall is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Junior has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Junior has given up his back. Will we see Dall going for some submissions?
Dall is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Junior is defending well though. Dall let's go of the attempt for now. Junior turns into Dall and is now in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dall utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Junior throws a sloppy strike and Dall has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Junior is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Dall!
