The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks gets caught flat footed, as Pinski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hicks has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Pinski has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Pinski gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pinski is thwarting Hicks's attempts to control the position.
Pinski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hicks's head.
Pinski prevents Hicks from improving his position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pinski leaves Hicks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pinski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hicks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hicks is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pinski has managed to free his arm - good work.
