Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Andris Dimitriou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aatos Impala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aatos Impala!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Impala throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dimitriou sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Impala throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A nice combination there by Impala.
Impala throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Impala misses with a left hand
and Dimitriou counters with a straight right hand.
Impala misses with a straight left.
Impala misses with a series of wild punches.
Impala moves into the clinch.
Dimitriou stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Impala is trying to force a seperation but Dimitriou has the dominant position.
Dimitriou breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Impala's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dimitriou connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Impala scrambles back to his feet.

Impala unleashes a big counter combination but Dimitriou bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Dimitriou fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Impala looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Impala jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dimitriou has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Jacks Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
A head kick from Dimitriou lands but Impala takes it in his stride.
Dimitriou buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Impala tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Impala moves in looking to clinch but Dimitriou pushes him off.
Dimitriou connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Impala throws out a loose jab but Dimitriou uses good head movement to avoid it.
Impala takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Impala steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Dimitriou. That one must have hurt.
A nice leg kick lands there from Dimitriou.

Dimitriou clobbers Impala with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Dimitriou counters with a big 3 punch combo that drops Impala on his ass! Impala wobbles back to his feet half way through the count and though looking a bit dazed, the referee is going to allow the fight to continue!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dimitriou clinches up with Impala and pushes him back against the ropes.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Dimitriou dips to his left and cracks Impala with an uppercut!

Dimitriou lunges at Impala with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Impala's hand.

Impala misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Dimitriou counters with a big uppercut that nearly lifts Impala off his feet! Impala crashes to the mat in all kinds of trouble! The referee starts the count but I'm not sure it's necessary - Impala isn't going to make it! The count reaches 10 and this fight is all over! Dimitriou screams and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmmm spit, everywhere. Lovely.
