Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Tito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tito's entrance music is Enter Sandman. A fine choice. Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lonely Train by Black Stone Cherry kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! John Tito has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Tito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aaron Smith! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tito shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tito gets slowly back to his feet. Smith has taken the fight to the clinch.
Smith has Tito pushed against the cage. Smith lands an elbow inside that Tito shrugs off.
It looks like John Tito has been cut. Tito has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smith avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tito tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Tito. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith stops a takedown attempt from Tito.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tito has had enough of the clinch but Smith keeps him there for the moment. Smith's coach down at Kangaroo's MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Smith's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Tito can't get the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round. Smith lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Tito has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smith avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tito.
Tito drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smith pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Smith lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
John Tito's cut is getting worse. Smith lands a damaging elbow. Tito blocks an elbow strike. Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Tito trying to control the position but instead, Smith has worked for underhooks and has pushed Tito into the cage. Nice elbow from Smith.
John Tito's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tito is trying to drag Smith to the mat but Smith just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Smith stalls. Tito has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Jeez, John Tito's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Tito's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Aaron Smith! After winning the bout, Aaron Smith thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. The defeated John Tito had this to say: 'I appreciate all the support I have gotten leading up to this fight. It means a lot to me to receive so much love and support. This is not the end, but merely a chance to prove my strength.'.
