Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Douglas's waist but Douglas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Guy off to one side.
Guy displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Douglas forces Guy back against the cage and clinches.
Douglas wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Guy wants a takedown.
Douglas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Douglas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Guy circles away quickly and effectively.
Douglas steps into range and cracks Guy with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Guy flops backwards and Douglas dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Ray Guy has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Douglas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guy is proving hard to escape from.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Douglas is controlling him.
Douglas stands up and waves to Guy to follow him.
Douglas connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Guy! He's out on his feet! Douglas rushes in and drops Guy with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Boomer Douglas!
