Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stan Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Archimedes Eureka! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans clinches up against the cage. Eureka turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Eureka manages to end up in side control. Eureka in side control, just content to control the action for now. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. More blood and guts and stuff like that, in cinemas everywhere now! A lull in the action here. Evans keeps Eureka under control for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eureka taking a breather here. Eureka blocks the strikes from Evans.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans seems a little lost for a moment, as Eureka dominates the positioning. Evans might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Evans tries to improve position but can't. Evans is trying to control Eureka's posture but Eureka avoids it. Eureka works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Evans wants to control but Eureka postures up. Eureka wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Evans, who protects the arm well. Eureka stands up and we're back to a striking position. Eureka drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Evans tries to buck Eureka off but Eureka is having none of it. Evans can't do much from the bottom here. That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans is trying to control Eureka's posture but Eureka avoids it. Evans seems a little lost for a moment, as Eureka dominates the positioning. Evans is looking to regain half guard here but Eureka keeps moving and retains side control. Eureka controls the position from side control. Eureka lands a few punches from side control. A lull in the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Evans's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A lull in the action here as Eureka stalls from top position. Eureka tries to advance to mount but can't. Eureka throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Eureka trying to control the position but Evans is working away. Eureka lands a decent elbow from side control. Eureka trying to control the position but Evans is working away. Evans is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Eureka is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Evans knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Evans is not content to let Eureka control the position. Evans wants to control but Eureka postures up. Eureka is looking to take a break and control but Evans is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Evans is looking to reverse the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Eureka working away. Evans is trying to improve his position. Archimedes Eureka dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Eureka shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Eureka trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Eureka won't allow Evans to sweep him here. Evans looking to control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eureka is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

That's one minute gone in the round. Evans is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Eureka's half guard. Evans missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Evans thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Evans could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Eureka works his way to full guard. Good work. Eureka pulls Evans in close to prevent any damage. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Evans's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Eureka is trying to keep Evans in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Evans got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eureka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Evans has managed to get both his arms back between Eureka's legs - danger averted. Eureka has his hands on Evans's head, controlling the position. Eureka has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Evans has passed into side control.
Eureka is breathing heavily. Eureka controls the position for a moment. Evans creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Eureka sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans has control of an arm but Eureka manages to advance to Evans's back! Eureka tries to get the hooks in deep but Evans pushed the leg off. Evans rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Evans is pressing down on Eureka's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Evans keeping moving, preventing Eureka from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evans wants to stand but Eureka is controlling the position. Eureka looking to sit in guard and control but Evans gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Evans postures up.
Evans lands a couple of decent looking shots. Evans missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Evans is looking to work some ground and pound but Eureka has wrist control. Eureka pushes Evans off and scrambles back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Eureka bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Archimedes Eureka will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Evans gets a takedown into half guard. Eureka keeping hold of Evans's head, controlling as best he can. Evans thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Eureka's head. The fighters are battling for position here. Eureka manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Eureka is controlling Evans's posture. Evans defends it easily. Eureka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Evans's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Evans prevents Eureka from getting back to his feet. Eureka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Evans defends well. Evans is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Eureka tries to land a sweep but no joy. Evans lands a couple of digs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eureka is trying to control the position but Evans postures up. Evans chips away with some ground and pound. Eureka not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Evans lands a couple of decent looking shots. Eureka wants to hit a switch here but Evans passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Eureka there! Eureka is working to get back to half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Evans prevents Eureka from getting the reversal. Stan Evans overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans lands a big elbow. Evans lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Eureka hang on? Evans with good strikes from the mount here! Eureka tries to reverse the position but Evans maintains control. Eureka tries to hold on but Evans postures up. Eureka is trying to escape the mount.
Evans lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Eureka tries to hold on but Evans postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evans lands a couple of good shots and Eureka has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Evans is not going to allow Eureka to sit and survive in this position. Oooh a big shot gets through from Evans. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Evans is landing with strikes from the back. Eureka is trying to remain composed but Evans is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Eureka wants to control his opponent's hands but Evans gets his hands free. Archimedes Eureka is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Evans lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Evans lands with a hammerfist to the side of Eureka's head. Evans avoiding Eureka 's attempts to control his hands. Evans lands shots from the back.
And that's the end of the fight! Stan Evans showed his dominance in that final round. I think Eureka has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
