Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Padono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donnie Padono will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donnie Padono! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Padono closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Sanchez kicks Padono off and gets back to his feet. Padono stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Padono wants it to stay on the feet. Nice takedown defense from Padono. No joy for Sanchez on that attempt. Padono closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Sanchez manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Padono keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sanchez is trying to break the clinch but Padono is controlling him. A hook to the body from Sanchez.
Padono has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sanchez clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Good control from Padono. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez trying to control the action but Padono just sinks the hooks in.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padono trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Padono has the hooks in. Sanchez is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Padono really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Sanchez. Will Padono go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Padono controlling well, preventing Sanchez from escaping the position.
Padono is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sanchez showing good submission defense here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is trying to stand back up. Sanchez is really stuck here.
Sanchez just trying to survive but Padono is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Sanchez rolls, trying to escape but Padono keeps control of the position.
Padono slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Sanchez tries to escape but Padono has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Sanchez rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Padono looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Padono wants to control but Sanchez is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Padono is figuring out what he wants to do next. Padono decides to stand up. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Padono but Padono pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sanchez darts in and clinches Padono up against the cage. Sanchez tries to pull guard but Padono forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Sanchez takes an elbow to the forehead. Padono breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Donnie Padono will probably get the nod. That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Padono throws the kick towards the body but Sanchez avoids it. Sanchez fails to land the takedown. Sanchez shoots and misses and Padono counters with a single leg into guard. Sanchez didn't expect that. Sanchez wants to improve his position but instead Padono has moved into half guard.
Padono looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Padono is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sanchez is just riding it out for now. Padono eventually gives up the hold. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Padono is controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Padono. Padono is controlling the pace.
Padono is continuing to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Padono scoring with strikes to the body and head. Sanchez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Padono is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Padono wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanchez keeps working. Padono works his foot free and advances to mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Padono cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Padono takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Padono landing strikes, looking to finish! Sanchez gets back to half guard. Sanchez is trying to maintain the position but Padono is very close to passing his half guard. Padono stands up and beckons Sanchez to join him on the feet. Sanchez tries to keep at a distance but Padono has taken the fight into the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sanchez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Padono has him pressed against the cage. Sanchez taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Padono wants the takedown. Sanchez is fighting it off but Padono persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sanchez's guard against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donnie Padono showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
A right-left combo lands from Sanchez. Sanchez goes for a double leg but Padono avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Padono continues to drive forward. Padono has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A head kick from Padono lands but Sanchez takes it in his stride. Sanchez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Padono swivels and escapes. Padono scores with a punch to the head. Sanchez tries to clinch up and Padono counters with a single leg into guard. Sanchez didn't expect that. Sanchez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Padono passes into half guard.
Donnie Padono has got the better of the ground game so far. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Padono has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padono trying to control but he's not successful this time. Sanchez tries to reverse the position but Padono maintains control. Padono wants to control the pace but Sanchez is squirming around nicely. Padono lands a nice shot to the head. Padono takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Padono trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez tries to lock up and control but Padono gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Padono looking to control but Sanchez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Padono sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Padono manages to capitalize on a mistake by Sanchez to take his back! Sanchez tries to escape but Padono has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Padono tries to keep control of the position but Sanchez is staying busy. Padono really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Sanchez. Sanchez defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Padono's arms. Padono throwing damaging strikes from the back! Sanchez could be in trouble here!

Oooh a big shot gets through from Padono. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

And that's the end of the fight! Donnie Padono comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Padono has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
