Lei's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Closer. Sarmat Tigiev has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Louis Lei's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei throws a leg kick which misses Tigiev's front leg but catches the back leg as Tigiev tries to avoid it.
Lei scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Lei misses with a body kick.
Tigiev avoids the head kick by Lei.
A countering left hand to the body from Tigiev misses.
Lei blocks a jab.
A low kick from Lei misses
letting Tigiev counter with a right hand.
Lei throws a nice head kick!
Tigiev lunges at Lei with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lei's hand.
Lei misses with a looping left.
Tigiev blocks a head kick by Lei.
Lei throws a leg kick but Tigiev sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Tigiev swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Lei throws a push kick but Tigiev slaps the foot to one side.
Lei throws a solid leg kick but Tigiev takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Lei.
Tigiev let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Tigiev connects with a single shot there.
Lei throws a leg kick that is checked
and Tigiev counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Louis Lei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tigiev lands with a good body shot.
Tigiev keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Lei misses with a head kick.
Lei throws an off balance right hand
and Tigiev counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lei gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Tigiev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lei is rocked!
Tigiev throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Lei's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Tigiev dives in looking to finish as Lei flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Tigiev's strikes! Tigiev is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Lei's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Lei was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
