Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Distacio Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gleb Maximov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Distacio Jr's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Red - Darkest Part. Gleb Maximov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximov lands a really nice looking cross but Distacio Jr seems unphased.
Distacio Jr is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Distacio Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Maximov to the mat! Maximov manages to get full guard.
Maximov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Distacio Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Distacio Jr is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Distacio Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Distacio Jr postures up in Maximov's guard and throws a big left but Maximov blocks it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Distacio Jr's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Distacio Jr postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Distacio Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Maximov wants to sweep but no luck.
Distacio Jr trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Distacio Jr throws a big elbow that misses.
Distacio Jr working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Distacio Jr postures up and lands a big shot to Maximov's brow.

Distacio Jr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Distacio Jr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maximov keeps working.
Distacio Jr throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Distacio Jr is looking to take a break and control but Maximov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Maximov is trying to improve his position.
Maximov defending against the ground and pound.

Maximov takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Distacio Jr is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Maximov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Distacio Jr gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Maximov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Distacio Jr lets go of the hold and Maximov can pop his arm back in it's socket.
