Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Soor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fred Soor could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cain Carwin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Soor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cain Carwin! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Carwin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Soor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carwin tries to avoid it but Soor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carwin to the ground. Carwin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Carwin scores a takedown into full mount! Soor tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soor looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Soor tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Soor wants to control but Carwin is having none of it. Soor is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Carwin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Soor wants to control but Carwin is having none of it. Carwin prevents Soor from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soor is working hard here to advance position. Carwin looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. A nice elbow there by Carwin.
It looks like Fred Soor has been cut. Carwin content just to control the position here. Soor working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carwin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Soor is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Carwin looking to finish Soor with some ground and pound. This is bad for Soor! Soor is trying to escape the mount.
Carwin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Soor sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Soor looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Soor is breathing heavily. Carwin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Soor sees it coming and defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soor is trying to get back to full guard. Carwin is taking a breather. Soor says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Carwin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Carwin controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carwin tries to stand and escape but Soor is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carwin trying to mount his opponent but Soor defends it. Soor looking for submissions off his back. Carwin trying to control the action but Soor is working from the bottom. Soor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Soor wants to control but Carwin is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Carwin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fred Soor's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Carwin instigates a clinch. Carwin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Soor regains guard immediately. Carwin controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Soor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carwin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carwin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Carwin won't allow Soor to sweep him here. Soor has his foot on Carwin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carwin works his way back into a safe position though. Carwin won't allow Soor to sweep him here. Carwin's corner is telling him to maintain position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carwin trying to move into half guard but instead Soor has managed to sweep!
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carwin can do anything to dispel that myth. Carwin pulls Soor in to control the position. Soor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Soor drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Soor jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Soor looking to pass the guard. Soor stops Carwin from standing up. Carwin keeping moving, preventing Soor from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carwin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carwin working away. Soor is looking to reverse the position. Carwin tries to stand but Soor is controlling his head. Soor manages to work his way to half guard, despite Carwin's best efforts. Soor is pressing down on Carwin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Carwin wants to pass the guard but Soor is keeping the position. Carwin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Carwin is sitting in close to Soor's body. Soor has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Carwin is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Carwin is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Soor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Fred Soor!
