Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hoo Man Assad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roscoe Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hoo Man Assad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roscoe Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Assad tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jenkins was well out of range. Poor timing from Assad. And Jenkins tries to counter it with a takedown but Assad pushes his down on his head and steps out. Jenkins forces Assad back against the cage and clinches. Jenkins stalling against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Assad is trying to break free. Jenkins tries to throw a body punch but Assad avoids it by throwing Jenkins back against the cage. Jenkins lands a body punch. Jenkins lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Assad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins is fighting off a takedown attempt but Assad is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jenkins to the mat. Jenkins regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Jenkins manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Jenkins lands a nice looking kick to the body. Assad takes a step back to recover. Assad is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jenkins clinches with his opponent.

Jenkins throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Jenkins lands a left hand that snaps the head of Assad backwards. Jenkins is stalling here.
Assad is looking to break free of the clinch but Jenkins has double underhooks. Jenkins lands a body shot. The referee is keeping an eye on Jenkins - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Still in the clinch, Jenkins scores with a nice short uppercut. Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jenkins digs a right hand underneath Assad's ribcage. Assad let out a lung full of air as it connected. Jenkins stalling against the cage.

Assad is rocked! Jenkins scores with a nice hook to the head. Oh Assad is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Assad wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jenkins lands with a light punch inside. Jenkins scores with a hook to the body. Jenkins cracks Assad with a nice body shot. Jenkins lands a nice shot to the body. Assad seems to have got his legs back now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! That's three minutes gone in the round. A short right from Jenkins on the inside. Assad swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Assad blocks a body shot from Jenkins. Jenkins works on Assad's body with a couple of short punches. Jenkins pushes Assad back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Assad wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jenkins has him pressed against the cage. A right hand to the body from Jenkins.

Assad tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Jenkins lands a hook that snaps the head of Assad backwards. Assad wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jenkins takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Jenkins gets through Assad's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Assad is trying to force a seperation but Jenkins has the dominant position. Jenkins dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jenkins. Jenkins leaning against his opponent.
Jenkins keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Assad's efforts to push away. Jenkins has Assad pressed against the cage, preventing Assad from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Nice body punch from Jenkins. Jenkins pushes Assad back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roscoe Jenkins dominated that round. That's time! Assad's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Assad lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jenkins circles away quickly and effectively. Jenkins plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Assad looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jenkins uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jenkins.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A jab lands there for Assad. Jenkins slips under a jab from Assad. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jenkins - that will leave a mark!
Jenkins lands with a kick to the temple. Assad shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" The fight moves into the clinch position. Jenkins lands an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins lands with a right to the head. Jenkins doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Jenkins continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Assad can't keep his opponent in guard - Jenkins advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Jenkins controlling the action here. Let's hope that Jenkins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Assad trying to control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenkins not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jenkins working over Assad with some ground and pound. Assad looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Roscoe Jenkins has got the better of the ground game so far. Jenkins thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Assad's head. Jenkins content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Assad wants to control but Jenkins is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roscoe Jenkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Assad shoots in and bounces Jenkins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jenkins has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Assad off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. A combination from Assad does no damage. Jenkins has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jenkins blocks a low kick nicely. Assad moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Assad takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Assad throws the kick towards the body but Jenkins avoids it. Assad has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jenkins. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jenkins lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Assad swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Jenkins.
Jenkins throws a quick inside leg kick. Assad throws a combination that misses and Jenkins makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Roscoe Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jenkins scoring well with a low kick there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Assad has had enough of the clinch but Jenkins keeps him there for the moment. Assad wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jenkins makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Jenkins is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
The referee calls for Jenkins to work.

Hoo Man Assad has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Come on Jenkins - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

And that's the end of the fight! Roscoe Jenkins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jenkins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
