Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Schafer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carlos Guerrero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Schafer!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schafer clinches with his opponent.
Guerrero tries for a takedown but Schafer manages to get underhooks.
Guerrero slows down the pace here.
Schafer has had enough of the clinch but Guerrero keeps him there for the moment.
Guerrero manages to break the clinch.
Schafer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Guerrero manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Guerrero throws a big counter combination but Schafer scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Schafer does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Sloppy strikes from Schafer. Those never looked like landing.
It looked like Guerrero wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guerrero scoring well with a low kick there.
Schafer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Schafer duly obliges.
Some wild striking there from Schafer.
Guerrero circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Guerrero breaks from the clinch.
Guerrero fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Schafer scores with a one two! Guerrero had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Schafer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Guerrero.
Guerrero gets a clinch.
Schafer throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Guerrero leaning his opponent against the cage.
Guerrero successfully pulls guard.
Schafer is looking to work some ground and pound but Guerrero has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Guerrero pushes a forearm under Schafer's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Schafer is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Carlos Guerrero!
