Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adanis Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monroe Dillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Adanis Storm has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adanis Storm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Monroe Dillard! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ben Hemmingworth and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Storm is looking to clinch but Dillard is avoiding it.
Dillard has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Storm is landing a low percentage of strikes. No luck for Dillard with that takedown attempt. Nice body kick from Storm. Storm shoots for a double leg takedown but Dillard sprawls well. He's pushed Storm's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dillard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Storm defends well and Dillard ends up having to push Storm into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Dillard swats away the attempt to clinch by Storm. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dillard is defended easily by Storm. Adanis Storm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Monroe Dillard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dillard is refusing to be controlled, as Storm sits in half guard. Storm tries to stand and escape but Dillard is controlling the position. Dillard trying to control but Storm postures up.
Dillard is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Storm missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dillard tries to roll over but Storm keeps him under control. Storm is trying to control the action in half guard but Dillard is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Storm is stalling here. Dillard is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Storm seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Dillard has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Dillard content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Storm throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dillard is defended easily by Storm. As Dillard looks to move away, Storm throws a big counter combo but Dillard just gets out of the way. Dillard needs to keep his hands up - Storm had a free shot at his head there. Storm fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dillard avoids it really well and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Storm shoots in looking for a takedown. Dillard tries to sprawl out of it but Storm keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dillard manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Storm fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dillard avoids it really well and circles away. And Dillard tries to counter it with a takedown but Storm pushes his down on his head and steps out. Storm shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Storm showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Storm is looking to pass Dillard's guard but actually Dillard recovers to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adanis Storm dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Storm shoots for a takedown but Dillard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Storm closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dillard did well to prevent Storm getting side control. Storm wants to control but Dillard is keeping him busy. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Storm here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Storm prevents Dillard from improving his position. Dillard wants to control but Storm is keeping busy and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dillard is looking for a sweep. Storm is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dillard trying to hold on to Storm's head to control him but Storm postures up.
Dillard makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dillard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Storm wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Dillard's closed guard. He's half up but Dillard has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Dillard pivots and extends the arm, Storm falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Dillard! Well done that man!
