Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Shore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lafon Bornay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bornay has chosen House Boulevard - Set Me Free as his entrance music. Lafon Bornay has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lafon Bornay!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Francis DeMontford and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shore scores with a hook to the body. Bornay takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Shore looks to land a right hand but Bornay moved out of range.
Bornay is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Bornay tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Shore throws a jab but it's blocked by Bornay.
Bornay drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Shore defends it well.

Shore escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bornay gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bornay wants to get up but he can't break Shore's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Shore is working an open guard so Bornay takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Shore throws a jab when Bornay was well out of range.
Shore tries to clinch there but Bornay circles away.

Bornay is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Shore throws an overhand right that lands on Bornay's shoulder, as Bornay tries to avoid the shot.

Bornay stands and steps away. Shore gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Shore really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Shore is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bornay's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bornay's back!

Shore is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bornay defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I really don't envy Bornay right now.

Shore throws a series of strikes and Bornay wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shore, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
