Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shannon Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Tankmit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tankmit comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Unstoppable kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Daniel Tankmit will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tankmit stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tankmit wants it to stay on the feet.
Ramirez takes a swing at Tankmit's ribcage but misses.

It looks like Shannon Ramirez has been cut.
Tankmit misses with a low kick as Ramirez jumps back.
Ramirez tries to counter by clinching up but Tankmit breaks away and moves out of range.

and Ramirez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Tankmit throws a right and a left that Ramirez avoids nicely.
As Tankmit backs away, Ramirez returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ramirez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tankmit circles away.
Tankmit throws a right and a left that both miss.

Ramirez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Tankmit pushes Ramirez off and gets back to his feet.

Tankmit drives through and clinches with Ramirez against the cage.
Tankmit is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ramirez is defending well for now.

Ramirez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ramirez has a takedown stuffed.
Tankmit tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Ramirez rushes Tankmit and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ramirez tries to pull guard but Tankmit forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ramirez's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Ramirez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tankmit changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ramirez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A lull in the action here as Tankmit stalls from top position.
You can see the frustration on Ramirez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ramirez is trying to improve his position.

Tankmit stands up from Ramirez's guard - Tankmit perhaps looking for a knockout.
Tankmit uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ramirez.

Tankmit closes the distance and clinches.
Ramirez is trying to pull guard but Tankmit has him pressed against the cage.

Tankmit ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tankmit no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tankmit kicks Ramirez off and gets to his feet.

Tankmit fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ramirez to the ground. Tankmit is now in Ramirez's guard.

Ramirez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ramirez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Tankmit is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Ramirez wants to get up but he can't break Tankmit's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ramirez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tankmit looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tankmit looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tankmit!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ramirez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Ramirez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tankmit manages to get himself to full guard.

Tankmit throws a head kick that misses.

Tankmit clinches.
Ramirez jumps guard but Tankmit stands there with Ramirez around his waist. Ramirez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ramirez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tankmit walks away with a smile on his face. Ramirez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ramirez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tankmit.

Tankmit shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ramirez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ramirez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tankmit dives into side control.

Tankmit is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ramirez's shoulder. That is not cool.

Tankmit tries to move to full mount but Ramirez actually manages to regain half guard.
Tankmit is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ramirez reverses the position - he's now on top in Tankmit's guard.
Ramirez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tankmit is proving hard to escape from.
Tankmit pulls Ramirez in close to prevent any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Let's hope that Tankmit has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

I would just about give that final round to Daniel Tankmit.
Well Tankmit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
