Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Albert DeSalvo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shit Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeSalvo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Am I Evil?. Face has chosen Blue clear sky as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Albert DeSalvo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
42 - 32 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Shit Face! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeSalvo swings for the body but Face moves out of range.
Shit Face seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. DeSalvo ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Face misses with a few strikes there.
Face tries to land a front kick but DeSalvo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. DeSalvo throws a big shot that misses. Face uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by DeSalvo.
Face looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. DeSalvo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. DeSalvo scores with a body shot.
DeSalvo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Face moves away. DeSalvo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Face throws a series of punches but DeSalvo avoids them all with ease. DeSalvo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. DeSalvo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A left lands for Face. Face lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Face misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Face misses with a double jab
and DeSalvo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by DeSalvo.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeSalvo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Face works some decent striking defense from the bottom. DeSalvo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Face bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in DeSalvo's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Face lands a couple of decent looking shots. Face throws a big elbow that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Face accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Face slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Face got a little sloppy there for a moment and DeSalvo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Face has managed to get both his arms back between DeSalvo's legs - danger averted. DeSalvo throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Face is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Face is looking to work some ground and pound but DeSalvo has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Face lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. DeSalvo looking for a guillotine here but Face defends easily.
Face makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. We've been hearing good reports from DeSalvo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. DeSalvo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Face can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Face postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Face works over DeSalvo with some ground and pound from guard. Face content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Face postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DeSalvo looking to pass the guard. DeSalvo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. DeSalvo wants to control from the top but Face keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. DeSalvo throwing strikes from guard but Face blocks nicely. DeSalvo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. DeSalvo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. DeSalvo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Face works some decent striking defense from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. DeSalvo passes Face's left leg - he's now in half guard. Face is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DeSalvo is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Face reverses the position - he's now on top in DeSalvo's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Albert DeSalvo will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

DeSalvo throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Face shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. DeSalvo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. DeSalvo showed some decent athleticism there. DeSalvo is looking for a kimura here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Face moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeSalvo has gone for a leg lock! Face slips out almost immediately though and dives into DeSalvo's guard. Face is working DeSalvo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. DeSalvo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Face manages to get himself to full guard.
DeSalvo is looking to work some ground and pound but Face has wrist control. DeSalvo wants to pass the guard but Face is keeping the position. DeSalvo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Face's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeSalvo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Albert DeSalvo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Face tries to roll over but DeSalvo keeps him under control. DeSalvo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
DeSalvo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Face defends it well. DeSalvo throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Face to regain full guard. DeSalvo with a flurry of punches that miss. Face avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Face is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Face preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. DeSalvo throws a big elbow that misses. DeSalvo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. DeSalvo trying to control the position from guard on top but Face is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. DeSalvo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Face looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Face looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Face! Face wants to lay and pray for a moment but DeSalvo keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Face cracks DeSalvo with a big right hand but DeSalvo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
DeSalvo on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Face working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
DeSalvo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. DeSalvo parries the strikes from Face easily there. Face is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable DeSalvo to escape.
Face working away. Face working the ground and pound. Face looks up at the clock and then as DeSalvo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Face smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
DeSalvo is not content to let Face control the position. Face lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DeSalvo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. DeSalvo wants to get back to full guard. Face not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Shit Face will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from DeSalvo is defended easily by Face. Shit Face is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Face.
Face uses good head movement to avoid the hook from DeSalvo. DeSalvo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Face throws out the jab. DeSalvo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Face doesn't seem bothered though. Face thuds a left hand into DeSalvo's body. Face throws an overhand right that lands on DeSalvo's shoulder, as DeSalvo tries to avoid the shot. DeSalvo misses with a looping left.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Face, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Nice straight punches there by DeSalvo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of DeSalvo. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Face avoids the head kick by DeSalvo.

That's three minutes gone in the round. DeSalvo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. DeSalvo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. DeSalvo is working Face over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. DeSalvo throws an elbow that misses. Face uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in DeSalvo's guard. Nice move by Face! DeSalvo lands a good elbow from the bottom. Face distracts DeSalvo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Face tries to free his leg and advance position but DeSalvo is retaining full guard. DeSalvo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Face with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Face is in close to DeSalvo's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Face lands a couple of digs. Face with a flurry of punches that miss. DeSalvo trying to keep a closed guard but Face is proving a slippery customer.
DeSalvo has momentary wrist control but Face slips an elbow through the middle. Face is looking to work some ground and pound but DeSalvo has wrist control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. DeSalvo misses with a body shot.
Face just misses with a punch to the body.
DeSalvo changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Face throws an ugly left hook that misses
and DeSalvo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Face blocking the ground and pound attempt from DeSalvo. Face is concentrating on defense, preventing DeSalvo from advancing position.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Shit Face. I think Face has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Shit Face! A determined Shit Face didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
