Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Cooke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ireneusz Doniecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooke's entrance music is Harm's Way - Warriors Will Reign. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samuel Cooke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ireneusz Doniecki! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooke slips a jab and a cross from Doniecki.
Cooke clinches up with Doniecki and pushes him back against the cage. Cooke landing knees to the head.
Doniecki wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cooke lands an elbow just above Doniecki 's eye. Cooke lands a damaging elbow. Cooke controlling the action here for a moment.
Cooke wants the takedown. Doniecki is fighting it off but Cooke persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Doniecki's guard against the cage. Cooke with a flurry of punches that miss. Cooke slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cooke postures up in Doniecki's guard and throws a big left but Doniecki blocks it. Cooke passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doniecki has hold of Cooke's hands but Cooke slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Cooke working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Cooke seems to be working for a kimura but Doniecki defends the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cooke scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Doniecki taking some punishment here, with Cooke in his half guard. Cooke uses his free foot to push down on Doniecki's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Doniecki. Cooke controlling the pace for now. Cooke working for a submission but Doniecki is keeping him at bay.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doniecki is bucking up trying to escape but Cooke cracks him with another couple of good strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Cooke controlling his opponent. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cooke cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Doniecki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cooke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Doniecki takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. You get the feeling that Doniecki really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Cooke pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Cooke sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cooke with shots to the head and body - Doniecki looks very uncomfortable down there. Cooke landing strikes from the mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Doniecki can do anything to dispel that myth. Cooke takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Cooke looking to isolate an arm here. Doniecki doesn't see it coming and as Cooke extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Cooke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Samuel Cooke! Samuel Cooke decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
