Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scrooge McDuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Celso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Celso has chosen Bad Boys by The Inner Circle as his entrance music. Scrooge McDuck has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Scrooge McDuck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Celso!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDuck closes the distance and clinches up with Celso, looking for a takedown. McDuck pushes Celso against the cage but Celso circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

McDuck rushes Celso and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

McDuck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

McDuck pushes Celso up against the cage in a clinch.

McDuck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McDuck throws a head kick that misses
and Celso counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Celso takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Celso misses with a two punch combination.

McDuck tries to sprawl but Celso drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McDuck keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
McDuck tries to get to full guard but Celso has control of the leg.
McDuck is trying to stand up here but Celso is controlling him well.

McDuck slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

McDuck throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
McDuck will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Celso gets to his feet - McDuck follows without any prompting.

Celso has McDuck up against the cage in a clinch.

Celso successfully pulls guard.

Celso is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

McDuck has gone for a leg lock! Celso slips out almost immediately though and dives into McDuck's guard.


McDuck working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Celso doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Celso manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McDuck wants to hit a switch here but Celso passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for McDuck there!
Celso throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for McDuck because Celso loaded up on that one.

Celso blocks McDuck's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
McDuck really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Celso wants to control the pace but McDuck is squirming around nicely.

Celso goes for an armbar but McDuck turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McDuck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDuck throws a big elbow that misses.
Celso looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Celso is working an open guard so McDuck takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Celso tries to score a power double leg takedown but McDuck sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Celso somewhat.
The fight stays on the outside here - McDuck looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And Celso tries to counter it with a takedown but McDuck pushes his down on his head and steps out.

McDuck gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

McDuck is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Celso wants to control from the top but McDuck keeps moving.

McDuck shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Celso sprawls well. Celso wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McDuck gets slowly back to his feet.

Celso tries to clinch there but McDuck circles away.

Celso closes the distance and pushes McDuck back into the cage.
Celso is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McDuck pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Celso has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Celso has hold of one of McDuck's legs. McDuck is fighting the takedown attempt but Celso gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. McDuck manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
McDuck goes for a takedown in the clinch but Celso prevents it.
McDuck wants to break free but Celso has control.
Celso is working for takedown but McDuck is calmly controlling the position for now.

Celso jumps into guard, dragging McDuck to the mat.
Anthony Celso has got the better of the ground game so far.

McDuck throws a strike but Celso rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Celso pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McDuck is keeping the position for now.
McDuck seems keen to control Celso's posture.
McDuck working a defensive guard but Celso manages to pass into side control anyway.
McDuck is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Celso is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

McDuck just holding on.
McDuck is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Celso trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McDuck wants to hold on but Celso pushes him away.

Celso wants to finish this one by submission but McDuck is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Celso.
Celso tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McDuck is desperately trying to improve his position but Celso has a good base and remains in mount.
Celso avoids the attempt from McDuck to control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Celso throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
McDuck regains half guard.
Celso blocks the strikes from McDuck.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Celso is keen to just control but McDuck is a slippery customer.

Celso is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McDuck has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anthony Celso showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Scrooge McDuck has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Anthony Celso is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McDuck wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Scrooge McDuck.
Well Celso has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
