The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ritchie misses with a takedown
and Roy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ritchie thinking.
Ritchie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Roy swivels and escapes.
A nice side step and Roy releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Ritchie shoots in for a takedown but Roy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Ritchie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ritchie misses with a takedown
letting Roy counter with a right hand.
Roy lands a big uppercut and Ritchie crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ritchie looks OK. Roy waves Ritchie back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ritchie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Roy counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
