The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabatoni throws a left and a right that both miss

so Cohen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Sabatoni wants to stand up but Cohen is controlling him.

Sabatoni is working an open guard so Cohen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Cohen pulls out of a head kick attempt.

You can see the frustration on Cohen's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Cohen is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sabatoni gets his way!
Cohen is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Cohen is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
No joy there for Sabatoni, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Sabatoni has cracked Cohen with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Sabatoni lands another huge swinging hook and Cohen tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Cohen, before Sabatoni can land any more shots!
